Role in Much Ado about Nothing
In the play, the role of the man was to basically work and provide for the woman and his family. The character that was against this role was Benedict. He was totally against marriage and love he did not believe in them therefore he just work to provide for himself because he did not have a wife or family. The role of the woman was to satisfy the man. Women were to wash, cook, clean and reproduce. The woman who was against this was Beatrice. She had no respect for men whatsoever especially with Benedict.
